Call for Papers and Posters: "Global Environmental Change, Globalization, and International Security: New Challenges for the 21st Century"

Open meeting of the Human Dimensions of Global Environmental Change research community scheduled for October 9-13 in Bonn, Germany

The International Human Dimensions Programme on Global Environmental Change (IHDP), an international non-governmental science program, invites all interested participants to submit a paper and/or a poster proposal for its 6th Open Meeting, to be held in Bonn, Germany. Titled "Global Environmental Change, Globalization, and International Security: New Challenges for the 21st Century," the meeting will explore topics such as climate change, land use, water management, and natural disasters. ECSP Director Geoffrey Dabelko, a member of IHDP's Scientific Committee, will co-chair a panel on "Environment, Development, and Sustainable Peace" with Alexander Lopez of the Universidad Nacional de Costa Rica.

Paper abstracts and poster submissions are due March 10, 2005. More details are available at the Open Meeting website. Please contact the Open Meeting Coordinator, Lis Mullin, with any additional questions.
