The Cold War International History Project and the Machiavelli Center for Cold War studies are jointly organizing a conference entitled "From Helsinki to Gorbachev, 1975-1985: the Globalization of the Bipolar Confrontation," which will take place in Florence from 27 to 29 April 2006.
