Combating AIDS: Centerpoint Features HIV/AIDS Meetings
Series examines the pandemic's growth and efforts by developing-country
Combating AIDS Around the Globe
This past November, the Environmental Change & Security Project and UNAIDS launched a three-part series to raise awareness about the fast growth of AIDS in East Europe and Asia and globally among women and girls, and to discuss the U.S. emergency relief plan, the largest health initiative ever by a single nation. A third seminar, to take place this spring, will address AIDS in the military.
AIDS in the Military
Peacetime military HIV/AIDS infection rates are much higher than the national average and perhaps greater in wartime. ECSP's Meaghan Parker discusses this issue, which will be the subject of the third seminar in a three-part series on HIV/AIDS sponsored by the Wilson Center and UNAIDS.
