Former CWIHP Intern Eliza Gheorghe Presents at International Graduate Student Conference on the Cold War

CWIHP is pleased to announce that former intern Eliza Gheorghe, an M.A. candidate in security studies at Georgetown University, participated in the 2009 London School of Economics - University of California Santa Barbara - George Washington University International Graduate Student Conference on the Cold War.

Gheorghe's paper, written under the coordination of Prof. Mongomery Meigs and based on her extensive research in Romanian archives, focused on Romania's foreign policy toward the Third World in 1973.

Gheorghe is the recipient of the 2009-2010 Fulbright Junior Award, the 2008-2010 Dinu Patriciu Scholarship, and the 2009-2010 International Peace Scholarship from the Philanthropic Educational Organization.
