January 2008 - Edited transcripts and a paper from the April 2007 Health Status Disparities in the United States Conference are now posted. The conference addressed health status inequalities with respect to income, geography, race, and ethnicity as well as policy implications. The posted material includes Dr. M. Gregg Bloche's opening speech; Thomas Rickett's paper, "Geography and Health Disparity;" and transcripts of presentations on racial and socioeconomic disparities by Dr. Paula Braveman and George Kaplan. PowerPoint presentations from all the speakers, including David Williams and Mary Lou de Leon Siantz, are posted within the event summary.
