Latin American Program in the News: Historic Coups Affect New Elections

LAP Associate Director Eric Olson was interviewed by LatinPulse, which is produced by American University’s School of Communication. He discussed the current political parties and the upcoming elections in Honduras.

Eric Olson discusses the trend lines in the Honduran elections, and the effects that the 2009 coup has had on Honduran democracy.  Problems with campaign transparency and corruption are also discussed.  The Honduran elections will take place this Sunday, November 24th.  His interview begins at 14:40.
