Gridlock: Labor, Migration, and Human Trafficking in Dubai by Pardis Mahdavi, former Wilson Center Fellow and Assistant Professor of Anthropology at Pomona College, was just released.

Gridlock: Labor, Migration, and Human Trafficking in Dubai by Pardis Mahdavi, former Wilson Center Fellow and Assistant Professor of Anthropology at Pomona College, was just released. During her time at the Wilson Center, from August 2009 to February 2010, Mahdavi wrote this book, which reveals "the gaping disconnect between policies on human trafficking and the realities of forced labor in the Persian Gulf."
