NPIHP's summer 2011 Nuclear Boot Camp has been featured twice in the past week in the leading Italian daily Il Messaggero Convened north of Rome in the village of Allumiere, Italy, the Nuclear Boot Camp is one part of NPIHP's multi-year global effort to build a new generation of experts on the history of nuclear weapons.
The Nuclear Boot Camp has brought together 14 of the world's best and the brightest up-and-coming scholars of nuclear proliferation--selected from over 250 applicants--for an intensive nine-day tour of the history behind today's global nuclear landscape.
The Nuclear Proliferation International History Project (NPIHP) is a global network of individuals and institutions engaged in the study of international nuclear history through archival documents, oral history interviews and other empirical sources. Recognizing that today's toughest nuclear challenges have deep roots in the past, NPIHP seeks to transcend the East vs. West paradigm to work towards an integrated international history of nuclear weapon proliferation.
