US News and World Reports Associate Editor for National Security Alex Kingsbury has published a first assessment of the CIA's recently released collection of documents on Polish spy Ryszard Kuklinski which has been made accessible online by CWIHP.
The 16 December 2008 article, Declassified: the Secret Soviet Documents of a Leading CIA Spy, outlines Kuklinski's exploits as an officer working as a U.S. spy on the Polish General Staff and discusses the impact of his reporting on U.S. strategy vis a vis the Warsaw Pact.
According to CWIHP Director Christian Ostermann the CIA's newly released Kuklinski documents, which are only available for download from the CWIHP website, will require extensive study before their full implications can be understood.
