Wilson Center Public Policy Scholar, Jongdae Shin interviewed by KBS News

Jongdae Shin, Wilson Center Public Policy Scholar and Professor at the University of North Korean Studies, was interviewed for the lead segment of Korea's KBS 9PM News. The segment discussed Russian documents recently obtained by NKIDP about the 1988 Seoul Olympics. The documents, records of conversations between International Secretary of the Korean Worker's Party, Hwang Jangyeop and Soviet Poliburo member, Aleksandr Yakovlev from 1986 and 1988, detail North Korea's attempts to co-host the Olympic games, and if that failed, to derail the games.
