Wilson Center to honor John Faraci and Vartan Gregorian

The Kennan Institute at the Wilson Center is pleased to announce the 2012 Kathryn and Shelby Cullom Davis Awards Dinner on December 6, 2012 in Washington, DC. John Faraci and Vartan Gregorian will receive Woodrow Wilson Awards in recognition of their contributions to corporate and public service related to U.S.-Russia relations.

2012 Davis Dinner Awardees

The Kennan Institute at the Wilson Center is pleased to announce the 2012 Kathryn and Shelby Cullom Davis Awards Dinner on December 6, 2012 in Washington, DC. John Faraci and Vartan Gregorian will receive Woodrow Wilson Awards in recognition of their contributions to corporate and public service related to U.S.-Russia relations.

John Faraci will receive the Woodrow Wilson Award for Corporate Citizenship for his leadership at International Paper and the formation of Ilim Group, one of the largest U.S.-Russian joint ventures with over 20,000 employees in the Russian Federation.

Vartan Gregorian will be awarded the Woodrow Wilson Award for Public Service in recognition of his many contributions to improving U.S. understanding of Russia and his long-term support for Russian education at Carnegie Corporation of New York.

The Kathryn and Shelby Cullom Davis Awards Dinner is an annual event that recognizes individuals demonstrating outstanding and enlightened corporate citizenship and public service in connection with the U.S.-Russian relationship, and is the premier Washington event dedicated to this purpose. The event is a benefit for the Woodrow Wilson Center’s Kennan Institute, a national resource for Russian studies in the United States.

The event open to press and media wishing to attend should rsvp to Drew Sample at drew.sample@wilsoncenter.org. Please bring full press credentials and allow time to check in with security. Video cameras must be set up one half hour before the start of the program. Some technical assistance will be provided, including power supply and a mult box for full audio.
