Overview

South Korean President Park Geun-hye will be in Washington, D.C. May 6-8 to meet with President Obama and address the U.S. Congress. With tensions rising in East Asia over North Korea’s nuclear aspirations and territorial disputes in the East China Sea continue, the U.S.-ROK relationship will be a key part of continuing U.S.-East Asian relations.  Wilson Center experts answer questions from the press about the visit and the state of U.S. relations in East Asia in this media briefing.
