Deadline for U.S. Applicants in the Vermont Law School's Environmental Justice Exchange Extended until DECEMBER 14th
NOVEMBER 2009- The China Environment Forum, the Vermont Law School (VLS) and its partners received a considerable number of applications from Chinese applicants for the Environmental Justice Young Fellows Exchange Program as of the original November 13th deadline, but not enough from U.S. citizens. Thus, VLS and its partners are extending the deadline for U.S. applicants ONLY for this unique exchange program

UN Nuclear Reports Confirm Secret Enrichment Site but Raise More Questions
UN nuclear inspectors confirmed that Iran is building a new, relatively small, secret enrichment site near the holy city of Qom, according to reports on Iran and Syria released today by the International Atomic Energy Agency. But questions remain about what Iran was doing and whether this was the only secret site, said Michael Adler, Public Policy Scholar at the Woodrow Wilson Center.

ChinaFAQs Website Launched to Track China’s Energy and Climate Actions
NOVEMBER 2009-The World Resources Institute (WRI) has launched a new website, ChinaFAQs.org, to track and summarize the research of academics, research scientists and policy experts on China’s climate and energy policies and actions. The Woodrow Wilson Center's China Environment Forum is a network partner of China FAQs with CEF Director Jennifer Turner featured as an expert on the site.

The Fifth Annual Ion Ratiu Democracy Lecture
Adam Michnik, a political activist and retired member of Poland’s first democratic parliament, will be presented the 2009 Ion Ratiu Democracy Award on December 3 at the Woodrow Wilson Center. At the event, Michnik will also be delivering this year's Ion Ratiu Democracy Lecture.
