Event Details

The Africa Program of the Woodrow Wilson Center is pleased to be hosting two Knight Journalists, Andrew Kromah from Sierra Leone and Chouchou Namegabe Nabintu from the Democratic Republic of Congo. Each journalist will discuss their role as an independent radio journalist in their community, and the effects they have had in a post-conflict setting. Both Kromah and Nabintu have used radio as a means of community activism and to involve the community in post-conflict reconstruction; is this model applicable in other countries, and how effective has it been in Sierra Leone and the DRC?
