The Woodrow Wilson Center co-sponsored an event on "The Legacy of the Bracero Program" with the National Museum of American History.
Representative Raúl Grijalva, D-AZ and Dr. Jorge Castañeda, former Foreign Minister of Mexico and Professor, New York University discussed the program and the current immigration debate in the United States in a panel moderated by Matthew Garcia, Outreach Director for the Bracero Archive and Associate Professor, Brown University.
In the reception that followed, Representative Silvestre Reyes provided remarks on the legacy of the Braceros.
