&fuseactioThe Mexico Institute seeks to improve understanding, communication, and cooperation between Mexico and the United States by promoting original research, encouraging public discussion, and proposing policy options for enhancing the bilateral relationship. A binational Advisory Board, chaired by José Antonio Fernández Carbajal and Roger W. Wallace, oversees the work of the Mexico Institute. Launched in January 2007, the U.S.-Mexico Congressional Initiative aims to promote understanding and communication on bilateral issues between the two congresses. The Institute organizes studies, events, and publications focused on these issues:

Mexico Institute Re-Launches Mérida Initiative Portal, a Public Resource on U.S.-Mexico Security Cooperation
The Mexico Institute at the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars announced today the re-launch of its Mérida Initiative web portal (www.wilsoncenter.org/merida), a resource for researchers, journalists, policymakers, and the general public on the most significant bi-national security cooperation program ever undertaken between Mexico and the United States.

Mexico Institute Internship Program
The Mexico Institute of the Latin American Program at the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars seeks an intern each semester with an interest in, coursework related to, and/or experience working on Mexico. Application materials are due: July 15 (Fall), November 15 (Spring), and March 15 (Summer).
