National Conversations

Capitalizing on its convening power, the Center launched The National Conversation, a new series to engage high-profile experts on important public policy issues.  Since April, installments have included thought-provoking discussions on national security and the federal budget crisis.  The November 1 installment “Afghanistan: Is There a Regional Endgame” featured Dr. Henry Kissinger who gave keynote remarks about China’s role in the region.  He was joined in a panel discussion moderated by Wilson Center Scholar Robin Wright, which included Frank Ruggiero of the State Department, Center Scholar and Washington Post Senior Correspondent Rajiv Chandrasekaran, and Vali Nasr of Tufts University.  Future Conversations will be held in Washington D.C. and in cities around the country.  RETURN
