On February 18, 2003, the Kennan Institute will launch a four-part series of programs on Russian culture titled “Culture/Kultura: Russian Influence on American Performing Arts.” The series will feature performances and/or video presentations in addition to lectures by scholars and experts in the field.

The National Commission on Terrorist Attacks Upon the United States is a bipartisan Commission chaired by Thomas H. Kean, former New Jersey governor, and Lee H. Hamilton, former Indiana congressman, who serves as vice-chair. The Commission convened for the first time this week at the Woodrow Wilson Center and chose Dr. Philip Zelikow as executive director. Zelikow is currently director of the Miller Center of Public Affairs at the University of Virginia.
