Canada Institute Appoints Gerry McCaughey as Chair of Advisory Board

WASHINGTON- Lee Hamilton, President and Director of the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars, has appointed Gerald (Gerry) McCaughey as chair of the advisory board for its Canada Institute. McCaughey is the President and CEO of the Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce (CIBC), one of the largest financial services institutions in Canada.

The publication coincides with a major address by former SEC Chairman William Donaldson in Toronto on April 12, 2006 and a breakfast briefing by authors Jay Lorsch and Edward Waitzer in New York City on April 28, 2006.

Canada Institute launches Ocassional Paper Series

The Canada Institute launched a new Occasional Paper Series in January 2006. The inaugural publication by Dwight Mason discusses the challenges Quebec would have had to face in foreign and defense policy had the 1995 referendum led to the province's independence.
