Understanding Environment, Conflict, and Cooperation

This publication represents the UN Environmental Programme's response to the growing worldwide interest in further exploring the environment and security nexus and the contribution of timely and credible assessments to conflict prevention. It is the result of an ongoing collaboration between the UN Environmental Programme's Division of Early Warning and Assessment and the Environmental Change and Security Project (ECSP) at the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars.
