Project Summary
Uncovers long-term continuities in Russian foreign policy and demonstrates how the use of history has affected Russias policy toward Yugoslavia since 1991. Demonstrates the presence of highly symbolic legacies that touch on the core historical mythology of the nation have important implications for Russian foreign policy and that tsarist history has been widely used in the formulation, assessment and justification of Russian foreign policy.
