Meran is the Editor in Chief of Austrian Information, a bi-monthly English-language publication by the Austrian Press and Information Service and Jewish News from Austria, an English-language newsletter he initiated with the idea of reaching Jewish refugees and Holocaust survivors from Austria who have found a new home abroad. He received his B.A. in Music at the Vienna Academy of Music, Austria, his M.A. in International Studies at the College of Europe, Bruges, Belgium and his M.A. in Philology (Slavic studies) at the University of Vienna, Austria.
