Ernest Collazo is the Managing Partner at Collazo Florentino & Keil LLP, a New York boutique law firm engaged in representing companies exclusively in labor relations, and employment law and litigation. He was previously a Partner at Simpson Thacher & Bartlett, one of the world’s leading international law firms, from 1981 – 1991, and an Associate there from 1977 – 1981. He also served as a Field Attorney for the National Labor Relations Board from 1974 -1977. He received his J.D. from Columbia Law School in 1974 and his B.A. from Hunter College in 1971. He is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations, and was a Director of The Washington Office on Latin America from 2009 – 2012, a Director of the September 11th Fund from 2001 – 2004, a Member of the National Council of The United Nations Association of the USA from 1990 – 1994, and a Faculty Member at the University of Munich in the LLM Program in International Business Law from 2011 – 2012. He currently serves as a Member of the Policy Committee of the Departmental Disciplinary Committee of the 1st Judicial Department of the New York Supreme Court, as a Member of the Advisory Committee to the Rules Committee of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 2nd Circuit, and as a Consulting Member of The New York Community Trust, NYC’s community foundation. He was selected by Hispanic Business Magazine as one of the 100 most influential Hispanics in the United States in 1989 and 1990.
