Project Summary
Examines the emergence of subregional processes in political, security and economic relations, and in shaping the post-Cold War international system. Looks at the creation of new multilateral structures and groupings which present challenges and opportunities for regional powers, and the notable absence of Russia in these configurations. Reviews the regional rivalries and the extent and impact of new insecurities.
