James Fallows

National Correspondent, The Atlantic Monthly

Jim Fallows is the Chair in U.S. Media at the U.S. Studies Center at the University of Sydney, as well as a National Correspondent for The Atlantic Monthly magazine. He was previously an editor of the U.S. News and World Report and chief speechwriter for President Jimmy Carter. Mr. Fallows received his B.A. from Harvard University and studied as a Rhodes Scholar at the University of Oxford.

Mr. Fallows is author of numerous articles and books, including the award-winning National Defense (Vintage 1982).
