Malcolm Byrne

Deputy Director and Director of Research, The National Security Archive at the George Washington University

Malcolm Byrne is deputy director and director of research for the non-governmental National Security Archive, based at George Washington University.  Since 1998, he has directed the Archive’s Iran-U.S. Relations Project, which aims at a multi-national, multi-archival approach to the history of the two countries’ relations since World War II.  Among his books is the award-winning Mohammad Mosaddeq and the 1953 Coup in Iran (co-edited with Mark Gasiorowski) (Syracuse, 2004).
