Project Summary
Examines the failure of the communist partys atheistic policy amongst the Islamic peoples in Uzbekistan and Tajikistan from 1964-1991. Looks at the ways that different scholarly communities have attempted to undertsand the reason for the failure of atheism and the persistence of Islamic belief.
