Robert Daly
Robert Daly is the Director of the Maryland China Initiative at the University of Maryland. Daly served as the American Director of the Hopkins-Nanjing Center for Chinese and American Studies in Nanjing , China from 2001 to 2007. Mr. Daly received his M.A. in International Public Policy from Johns Hopkins University and his BA in Literature and Fine Art from Syracuse University. He has appeared in Chinese television (北京人在纽约) and stage (上海人艺) productions and worked on the co-production of Chinese "Sesame Street" and other Children's Television Workshop programs. He is co-author of Chinese Through Song (Global Publications 2001), a textbook teaching Mandarin through Chinese folk and popular songs. From 1989 to 1991 he served as cultural exchanges officer at the American Embassy in Beijing.
