Timothy
Carrington manages a journalism training program at the World Bank Institute,
the World Bank's training arm. The program is designed to help reporters and
editors in developing and transitional countries cover economic and social change.
The program has been delivered in Africa, the former Soviet Union and Asia.
Before joining the World Bank in 1995, Mr. Carrington was a writer and editor
at The Wall Street Journal, covering finance, economics, and national
security over fifteen years, from bureaus in New York, London and Washington.
Prior to that, he worked at the McGraw Hill Publication Co. He is author of
The Year They Sold Wall Street, published by Houghton Mifflin.
