Anne
Nelson is currently the director of the International Program. She has been
a freelance reporter and photographer in Latin America for Maclean's Magazine,
Mother Jones, Life, The Los Angeles Times, NPR, and others;
documentary producer for the BBC, CBC, and PBS; associate producer, CBC; writer
and editor, Human Rights Watch; and executive director, Committee to
Protect Journalists. She is the author of Murder Under Two Flags: The U.S.,
Puerto Rico, and the Cerro Maravilla Cover-up (1986) She received her B.A.
from Yale University.
