The
Carnegie Commission on Preventing Deadly Conflict ceased operations
in December 1999. Commission reports are still available for download
on this site. The Conflict Prevention
Project at the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars
builds on the work of the Commission. Goals of the Project include creating
a forum for dialogue and exchange between policymakers, scholars and
practitioners; contributing knowledge, experience, and suggestions for
implementing conflict prevention strategies; and encouraging policy
focus and coordination efforts in the conflict prevention communities.
Information on upcoming events, meeting summaries and publications are
available on the Wilson Center website. Hard copies of the Commission
reports are also available by contacting conflictprevention@wwic.si.edu.
