Latin American Program in the News: Gobierno ratifica compromisos en Washington

El gobierno hondureño ratificó compromisos con los Estados Unidos y otorgó a dos instituciones la Orden "José Cecilio del Valle" en en Grado de "Gran Cruz de Plata." 

El gobierno otorgó la Orden "José Cecilio del Valle" al Centro Internacional Woodrow Wilson para Académicos (Woodrow Wilson Center for Scholars) y el Dialogo Interamericano (Inter-American Dialogue).

Lo anterior se desarrolló la semana anterior en Washington previo a los actos de despedida de Jorge Ramón Hernández Alcerro como embajador de Honduras en Washington, donde durante cuatro años desempeñó el cargo diplomático.

On March 27, 2014, the Latin American Program and the Woodrow Wilson Center were awarded the decoration of La Orden "José Cecilio del Valle" in the degree of "Gran Cruz de Plata" by the Government of the Republic of Honduras. La Orden "José Cecilio del Valle" is meant to signify the recognition of Honduras to Hondurans who have honored their homeland and to foreigners and institutions whose actions have been aimed at promoting peace and international solidarity and who have provided distinguished service to the Republic of Honduras.  The degree of "Gran Cruz Placa de Plata" is the highest decoration that the Government of Honduras awards to groups of people and institutions.
