China's Water Crisis
An International Rivers Network Book published by EastBridge

China's Water Crisis is the most comprehensive, authoritative, and up-to-date source of information on the enormous water crisis confronting the People's Republic of China. The author describes in great detail the floods, water scarcity, and pollution problems existing in all seven of China's major drainage basins—large and small—and proposes workable solutions for sustainable management.

Ma Jun, a leading investigate journalist, reported for the South China Morning Post from 1993 to 2000, writing many features on environmental issues in China. He is currently an environment consultant with Sinosphere Corporation and is participating in the Wilson Center's China Environment Forum's Water Conflict Resolution Study Group. The Chinese version of this book, Zhongguo shui weiji, was published by China Environmental Sciences Publishing House in late 1999.
