Dr. Jennifer Turner, director of China Environment Forum, talked about U.S.-China cooperation on energy and environmental sustainability at a 2009 China Town Hall at Concordia College, Moorhead, Minn.

Few relationships in the world today are as important as that between the United States and China, and concerns about energy and the global environment are increasingly at the center of this relationship.

Moorhead is one of 40 venues in the United States and china to hold 2009's CHINA Town Hall, an annual event sponsored by National Committee on US-China Relations. People not only can join the group gathering in their town or city - but also watch the live webcast of the Town Hall - a unique and wonderful chance to join the community of teachers, professionals, policy makers, scholars, and citizens who are learning and teaching about China and working to improve U.S.-China relations.

Dr. Turner also commented on Dr. Kurt M. Campbell, Assistant Secretary of State for East Asian and Pacific Affairs' remarks on the topic of "Issues in U.S.-China Relations."

The meeting was held on 8:00 p.m. EST. on December 8, 2009. If you miss the live webcast, visit the CHINA Town Hall section of National Committee on US-China Relations' website on or after December 10 to watch a recording of the proceedings.
