Denis Deletant, CWIHP Senior Scholar and Professor of Romanian Studies at London University College and Mihail Ionescu, Director of the Institute for Political Studies of Defense and Military History present an overview of Romania's positions in the Warsaw Pact from 1955 to the fall of Ceausescu's regime in December 1989. Drawing extensively from newly declassified archival documents of the Romanian Communist Party Politburo, the authors further nuance Romania's position in the Cold War.
