NPIHP Announces New Partnerships

NPHIP announces new partnerships with the Centre for Security, Strategy and Policy Research (CSSPR), the Odessa Center for Nonproliferation, the Stockholm University Graduate School of International Studies, and the University of Bristol’s Global Insecurities Centre.

The Nuclear Proliferation International History Project is pleased to announce new partnerships with four institutions at the cutting edge of nuclear history research:

  • The Centre for Security, Strategy and Policy Research (CSSPR) headed by Dr. Rabia Akhtar, will lead an effort to develop a more informed and historically grounded discussion of the history of Pakistan’s nuclear program.
  • The Odessa Center for Nonproliferation (OdCNP) at the University of Odessa will work to expand retrieve and publish documents about Ukraine’s nuclear history and its place in the NPT regime. NPIHP’s team at OdCNP is led by Dr. Polina Sinovets.
  • The Stockholm University Graduate School of International Studies, under the direction of Dr. Thomas Jonter, will lead efforts to bring together policymakers from around the world with NPIHP’s researchers to disseminate the findings of NPIHP’s new nuclear history.
  • University of Bristol’s Global Insecurities Centre will pursue a project to trace the development of key nuclear policy ideas by focusing on the correspondence of select strategic thinkers, spearheaded by Dr. Benoit Pelopidas.

Questions about these new initiatives, or any other activity of the Nuclear Proliferation International History Project, should be directed to Christian Ostermann (Christian.Ostermann@wilsoncenter.org) or Leopoldo Nuti (nuti@roma3.it).
