On August 26, the Afghan capital of Kabul was rocked by a bomb blast that killed dozens. The attack, perpetrated by Islamic State-Khorasan, which has carried out many attacks in Afghanistan and elsewhere in the region, underscores the threat of terrorism in Afghanistan and broader South Asia after the US withdrawal.
