Hans Bruyninckx, the executive director of the European Environment Agency, will discuss Europe’s 2050 agenda and the contribution of environment policy to the transition towards sustainability, understood as a circular, resource-efficient economy, a low-carbon society and ecosystem resilience in which natural capital is protected and enhanced, and the health and well‑being of citizens is safeguarded.
