Selected Quotes

United States-Canada-Mexico Agreement (USMCA)

[T]he 10 provincial premiers [and] the three territorial premiers… have called on all federal parties and all federal parliamentarians to very swiftly, without delay, ratify this agreement because of the benefits that it extends to all Canadians and I would say to a stronger North America as well.

Hon. Scott Moe, Premier of Saskatchewan

I think the revised agreement is an improvement on the original one, so let’s move forward. We cannot afford to risk for a day trade stability in North America.

—Hon. Jason Kenney, Premier of Alberta

Energy and Environment in Canada
"Our basic argument in Alberta, and what should be our basic argument in Canada, is that in that world, it is preferable that the last barrel in that transition period comes from a stable, reliable, liberal democracy with amongst the highest environmental, human rights, and labour standards on earth."

Hon. Jason Kenney, Premier of Alberta

"When we create wealth in our industries in Saskatchewan and Alberta, that wealth is by extension shared with all Canadians. When there is an auto plant that is doing well in Ontario, it isn’t just good for the community and the families that live in a community, it’s a strong and it’s a good thing for all Canadians. And we’ve gotten away from that into these regional conversations over the course of the last number of years. And in some respect due to some of the policies that disproportionately are restricting industries in certain areas of Canada and we need to get back to a more collective conversation, a more collaborative conversation."

Hon. Scott Moe, Premier of Saskatchewan
