About Li Bin
Li Bin joined the State Development Planning Commission (SDPC, now the National Development and Reform Commission) and started working in the Department of Foreign Affairs of the SDPC in 1989. In 2003, Mr. Li served as the Deputy Director General of the department. Before that he was Deputy Division Chief in 1994 and Division Chief in 1999. Mr. Li was in charge of American affairs, European affairs, and multilateral affairs during the past 10 years. He is especially familiar with China-US economic cooperation and the US companies operating in China. In July 2011, Mr. Li was assigned as the Counselor for Economic Affairs of Chinese Embassy in the US.
