NPIHP Partners Release New Documents on Indian Nuclear History

The Nuclear Proliferation International History Project is pleased to announce the release of 43 archival documents on the history of India’s nuclear program by the Institute for Defence Studies and Analyses (IDSA) and the Tata Institute of Fundamental Research (TIFR). These are some of the first Indian archival documents on the subject of nuclear history that have been released, and they offer a unique perspective on the early development of nuclear research in India. 

NPIHP Partner Hosts Conference on Brazil's and Argentina's Nuclear History

Nuclear Proliferation International History Project partners at the Fundacao Getulio Vargas (FGV) recently hosted a critical oral history conference on the Brazilian and Argentine nuclear programs between 1967 and 1988. The discussions which took place at the conference suggest that scholars may need to add nuance to the traditional historical narrative which portrays Brazil and Argentina as nuclear rivals who became partners following the end of military rule in both countries.
