2022 was a challenging year for Latin America. As the region suffered from the lingering impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic, its politics were unsettled and widespread frustration raised the prospect of a prolonged period of social unrest, dampening investment. As Latin America prepares to navigate another challenging year, amid slowing global growth and increasingly costly financing, the Wilson Center’s Latin American Program, Brazil Institute and Argentina Project remain committed to providing actionable ideas for policymakers, private sector leaders and civil society actors across the region.
