Chris Belisle

Director, Corporate Relations

    Full Biography

    Chris Belisle is the Director of Corporate Relations at the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars (Wilson Center).  He has been involved with corporate partnerships for over 15 years.  He oversees relations with the private sector in the United States and around the world.  This includes serving as primary liaison for the Wilson Center to the business community, engaging private sector actors across industries and leading prospecting activities to market the organization and expand its list of partners. 

    Previously, Chris served as Director of Corporate Relations for the Data and Marketing Association (DMA), where he was responsible for leading membership activities on the West Coast of the U.S. with a focus on the technology sector.  This included crafting benefits of membership, designing and marketing organizational materials, meeting with current and prospective member companies and handling all aspects of the sales cycle; prospecting outreach to setting meetings, leading meetings and solicitation, proposal creation and delivery, negotiation and close of agreements. 

    Before that, he served as Senior Manager, Business Alliance for the Center for American Progress (CAP) where he served as the organization’s lead to the business community.  This included handling requests for engagement from the private sector and ensuring that corporate partners were engaged in organization-wide activities.  And prior to that role, he served as Manager of Corporate Relations for the U.S. Chamber of Commerce where he was responsible for crafting strategic engagement with companies for several top executives, including its Chief Operating Officer.

    Chris earned a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations and Public Communications from American University in Washington, DC.  He enjoys traveling and exploring the world with his family and friends.
