Marie-Hélène Cantin

Marie-Hélène Cantin was a Canada Institute Junior Scholar from June to August 2007; while in residence at the Center, she conducted research on "The Settlement of International Trade Disputes: An Empirical Analysis of NAFTA's Chapter 19." After her stay at the Wilson Center, she returned to Université Laval in Québec City to continue her doctoral studies.Having completed her coursework, Marie-Hélène is working as a research associate for William A. Dymond, Senior Executive Fellow and the Director of Policy Research at the Centre for Trade Policy and Law at Carleton University in Ottawa. Her current research focuses on NAFTA's dispute settlement, agricultural trade negotiations, and the proliferation of preferential trade agreements. Marie-Hélène is a recipient of the Joseph-Armand Bombardier Doctoral Scholarship (Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada) for 2008-2011.
