Roberto Russell is a full professor and the director of the Master’s Program in International Studies at the University Torcuato Di Tella in Buenos Aires, Argentina. He was previously Director of Academic Affairs at the Foreign Service Institute of the Nation, in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Worship. Dr. Russell also served as professor of International Relations and Argentinian Foreign Policy in the University of Buenos Aires and San Andres and in the Latin American Social Sciences Institute (FLASCO) in Argentina. He has been a visiting scholar, researcher, and professor at several international universities, including the School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) at the Johns Hopkins University as a Fulbright Research Scholar, Georgetown University as a Visiting Professor; and the Institute of Latin American-European Relations in Madrid. 

He has served as a consultant and researcher on topics of university education and international relations for several international organizations, including the United Nations Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization, the Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean, and the Organization of American States.  He holds a Ph.D. in International Relations from SAIS at the Johns Hopkins University, and a M.A. in Social Sciences with focus in Political Science from FLASCO.  He holds a degree in International Affairs from Universidad del Salvador in Buenos Aires, and a law degree from the University of Buenos Aires.
