Oct 01, 2003
May 01, 2004

Project Summary

Investigates the dynamics behind the formation of multiple canons in contemporary Ukraine as well as to examine the connection between literary production and national identity construction in the post-independence years. Notes that the literary politics tends to privilege the plurality and hybridity of national and cultural identities. Uses concepts of postcolonial theory and comparative methodology in order to investigate the tendency towards plural kinds of identity.
