New Book from CWIHP Partner Angela Romano
CWIHP is pleased to announce the publication of a new book by CWIHP partner Angela Romano. From Détente in Europe to European Détente: How the West Shaped the Helsinki CSCE explores the roots of the CSCE and its impact on Cold War history, trans-Atlantic relations, and European integration.
Angela Romano received her Ph.D. in history of international relations from the University of Florence where she is currently contract professor of history of North America. She is affiliated with the Machiavelli Center for Cold War Studies (CIMA) and also Jean Monnet Fellow 2009/10 at the Robert Schuman Centre for Advanced Studies (European University Institute). Her main research fields are EC and EU external relations, European Political Cooperation (EPC), transatlantic relations, Détente, and the CSCE. Romano is currently working on relations between the EC and the Soviet bloc in the 1970s.
