NKIDP is pleased to welcome visitng scholar Shin Jongdae to the Woodrow Wilson Center.
Professor Shin is a professor at NKIDP's partner institution: the University of North Korean Studies in Seoul, and co-author of several books, including Theory of Inter-Korean Relations (Hanul, 2005), Principle Issues of South Korean Society and State Management (Yonsei Univ. Press, 2005), U.S.-ROK Relations during the Park Chung Hee Administration (Academy of Korean Studies, forthcoming), and Sino-Soviet Relations (1931-1945) (CCP History Publishing House, 2008). He has also published numerous articles in Korean journals and the Korean press on inter-Korean relations.
Professor Shin's research at the Wilson Center will draw upon exclusive interviews, North Korean and South Korean documents, as well as memoir materials to analyze inter-Korean relations, US-ROK relations and South Korean domestic politics in the late 1960s and early 1970s.
