    Full Biography

    Nabeel Rajab is president and co-founder of the Bahrain Center for Human Rights and long-time crusader for human rights in the Kingdom of Bahrain. Rajab also currently serves as the deputy secretary general for the International Federation for Human Rights and as the chairperson of CARAM-Asia.

    Rajab was one of the first defenders of Bahraini human rights, and is credited with the foundation of the first human rights organization in Bahrain, The Bahrain Human Rights Society, which he founded after years of working in secrecy. Rajab has worked within multiple human rights organizations in Bahrain over the years, ranging from Human Rights Watch to the International Federation for Human Rights to the Arab Group for Monitoring Media.
