CWIHP Partner Guy Laron Published in Middle East Journal

CWIHP partner Guy Laron recently published an article in the Winter 2009 edition of Middle East Journal.

The article, entitled "Logic dictates that they may attack when they feel they can win:" The 1955 Czech-Egyptian Arms Deal, the Egyptian Army, and Israeli Intelligence, is a follow-up to his CWIHP Working Paper No. 55 Cutting the Gordian Knot: The Post-WWII Egyptian Quest for Arms and the 1955 Czechoslovak Arms Deal.

Guy Laron is a post doctoral fellow in the Department of History at Northwestern University. He recently completed his dissertation on Israeli-Egyptian relations in the 1950s and is now in the process of turning it into a book. In addition to CWIHP Working Paper No. 55, Laron is also author of CWIHP e-Dossier No. 16 'Assessing the Damage': the June 1967 Czech Delegation to Egypt.
